Q: What is the newest model Nissan Frontier I could get with my budget?
My budget is 14k and below. I want a Nissan Frontier with less than 50k miles on it, v6, 2 wheel drive (dad wont let me get a 4×4). It has to have 4-doors. Considering everything above what is the newest model I could possibly run by? And what do you think the odds are that I will beable to find one to meet my specifications?
When i say, what is the newest model I could get I mean like could i get a 05? 06? 07?
A: You know that a 2005 goes from 12-13,000 at some used ar lots or dealerships so if you bought it privately you might be able to get one anywhere from 9-11,000 bucks and you might even find a 2008 for 14k.
The key here is doing your homework, having a lot of patience, asking a lot of questions, and check online, the newspaper wanted etc ads and also check what the dealerships are offering bec it truly is a buyers market out there and you could wheel and deal a lot in prices or warranty coverage etc.
Note that any sales person or private seller that doesn’t want or like you checking under the hood etc or doesn’t like you asking questions or seems in a hurry or nervous etc, just walk away from the vehicle asap.
Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way there are a few factory recall issues on some of those vehicles so ask about them.I’d want to be sure that you check with the dealerships regarding factory recalls, service bulletins and any flash or program updates.Note regardless if private or a dealership purchase be sure you spend the extra time and cash to have a reliable shop or a non-bios mechanic to perform a full certification check on any vehicle you’re interested in.
Q: What size rims could I put on a 02 2wd nissan frontier that has a 3″ body lift?
I have a 2002 2wd 4 cylinder nissan frontier with a 3″ body lift and I wanted to know how big of rims I could put on it.
A: Nevermind rims, get bigger tires. My Explorer takes 31s with a 2 inch lift. You could probably get 33s but you might have to gear it lower.
Q: What is the cost to replace a heater core in a nissan frontier?
I have a 2001 Nissan Frontier that needs a heater core. What should it cost to have it replaced? Will I need other items replaced at the same time?
Thanks
A: Anywhere between 3-6 hours depending on how experienced and honest the shop is that’s doing the repairs. The price of the heater core varies as well depending on the quality of the heater core. Good luck and hope this helps.
Q: How much boost can a 1998 Nissan Frontier handle?
A friend of mine has a 98 Frontier and was asking how much boost could he put on the factory motor. Also he wanted to know what would be better, Supercharged or Turbocharged. His motor is the KA24 DOHC 2.4L in-line 4. The same motor as the Nissan 240SX. Any help would be appreciated.
A: The motor sucks. I own a 95 240sx and hydro locked my motor (my stupidity). If he wants more HP and has a Ka motor in it I do not see any reason the SR20DETT wouldn’t fit. 325hp at the wheel. Its the JDM motor that comes stock in Japanese 240sx’x(silvias)
Q: What kind of tires would be best for my Nissan Frontier?
I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner XE. The tires on it right now are not stock (off-road tires) and ride a little bit too rough in the city. What size and type of tires would be the best all-around tires (and more comfortable) for city/highway driving?
A: Toyo Open Country A/T
Hands down the best tire I had on my 06 Frontier 4WD. Nice ride on the highway and off-road.
Q: How many of u guys have recently purchased a Nissan Frontier Truck and love it!!!?
We purchased our 6 cylinder 265 horsepower Nissan Frontier last year, and it’s been quite a surprise for a mid size truck. We wanted a standard to pull our camper which ways about 5000, and we didn’t even know it was back there. The gas mileage while pulling was quite impressive also… I was just wondering how many other people out there are as pleased with their Frontier as we have been. We have also gotten gutsy and raced a few from red lights and have surprised us and them….. What a great looking truck and awesome power….
A: I love this truck
Q: Can a 350 small block v8 be transfered into a 1998 nissan frontier?
I have a 1998 nissan frontier 4×4. Its a 4cyl and i want to put a 350 small block in it for my senior project. I also want to know if it can be done with a fuel injected 350
A: the real question is why?, yes anything can be done with the right amount of time and no how. your talking about a different engine, trans making all custom mounts and having to clearance everything and either a custom drive shaft or replacing the whole drive train front to rear, (instead i would recommend lifting the frontier bigger tires not huge though probly 35’s, and replacing the front and rear gear ratios you will be suprized on how much further it will go in the mud.
Q: What do you guys think about an 06 nissan frontier nismo 4×4 and where could i get some cool aftermarket parts
I bought a Black 06 nissan frontier nismo 4×4 king cab. I was just courious what other peopls thoughts were on this truck. I was going to buy a 06 toyota tocoma trd 4×4 king cab but the nissans was 4 g’s cheaper, has more horse power and torque, got really good reviews, (the only reason the tocoma got mid size truck of the year was because of the name) but anywho, whats your thoughts.
A: I love nissan. I had a 2000 and I modifies mine up and down. Best thing I ever did was a cold air snorkle and had the more test sealed. its a blast. horse power great
Q: What is the proper term/word & part # for the blower resister on a 2005 Nissan Frontier?
I need a new blower resister for my ‘05 Nissan Frontier. I’ve heard it referred to as a thermal control amplifier, amplifier thermal control and fan speed resister but every Nissan dealership in our area calls it by something different. Please advised on the proper word and OEM part# if possible. Thanks!
A: Motor controler or fan resistor is not a Intake temp sensor or a/c thermo amp. After 2004 those names changed. Evap temp sensor nissan calls (intake temp sensor) and Blower resistor motor speed controller Nissan calls ( Motor Amp). Just remember if there is a motor problem that draws to many amps (over20amp) could cause the resistor ot motor amp to burn out. Blower runs on a 30 amp circuit
Q: What is the bluebook value of a 2000 Nissan Frontier?
What is the blue book value of a 2000 Nissan Frontier and how much less is it worth if it is missing the head liner in the cab?
A: try the kelley blue book website….
Q: How do you lower a 1999 Nissan Frontier 2wd Extra Cab?
I have a 1999 Nissan Frontier 2wd. I want to lower it about 2 inches. I want to put 17″ factory escalade wheels on it, and make it look like they fill the fender up. I am guessing I need drop spindles and to reverse the leaf springs in the rear ( I think )…anyone have any ideas? or websites where I can pick up a cheap kit? Thank you for your input!
A: Evenly lower the front torsion bars and add blocks to the rear.
Q: Is there a better truck out there than the Nissan Frontier?
I looked into the Toyota Tacoma, the Ford Ranger, and the Chevy Colorado, but none of those trucks have as much power and torque as the 2007 Nissan Frontier. If I wanted a bigger truck, I would look into the new Tundra, the Nissan Titan and the new GMC Sierra/Chevy Silverado. But I want a compact truck with four doors and a powerful V6. If there is a better truck out there, please let me know.
A: Ford F-150

Q: How concerned should I be about using a infant safety seat in a 2006 Nissan Frontier King Cab ?
We’re expecting a baby in October, and I currently drive this Nissan extended cab. The manual details the infant safety seat guidelines, and an extension is installed at the base of the rear “jumpseat”. It just looks kind of “rigged”, and maybe not the ideal. I’m curious about real world experience with infant seats in mid-sized extended cab (not crew) pickups like the Frontier. Thanks !
Based on the 1st response to this question, let me clarify. I’m not asking whether to use a seat or not, that’s a given (duh). I’m inquiring into experiences with this vehicle and rear facing infant car seats in the small seats of extended cabs. This question is based on the fact, that even seeing the instructions on how it’s done, it doesn’t look that great…and I’m likely to change vehicles because of it. I’d simply like to hear some real world experiences with these trucks and carseats. Hopefully this will help avoid the type of response we started with here. Thanks.
A: If the manufacturer recommends a certain installation technique, you can bet the farm it has been studied and is the safest way to install the seat. Don’t mess with your baby’s life.
Q: Is the 2010 Nissan Frontier 4×4 Automatic Shift on the Fly? If so what is the max speed it can be activated?
Is the 2010 Nissan Frontier 4×4 Automatic Shift on the Fly? If so what is the max speed it can be activated?
A: I have not read the 2010 owners manual I suspect it is like the 4×4 2009 can shift into 4×4 up to 40 miles an hour. However I reccomend less speed when jumping rocks and rivers. Disengaging 4×4 may take backing up 9 or 10 feet to turn off the 4×4 light. Please read the owners manual before breaking down way back in the boonies.
