Q: Chrysler 300??
Considering purchasing Chrysler 300 and wanted to hear what current or former owner’s experiences have been with this vehicle.

Thanks.
Specifically, mechanically, leg room or any engine trouble/gliches ect…
So I take it suspension stinks? They don’t ride that low…

A: A relative of mine bought a new Chrysle 300 a
couple of years ago – nothing but problems.

Q: chrysler 300?
if i get a chrysler 300 basic will i be able to change the grill and make the front looks like the chrysler 300 C? with a light on the front bumper…because iv noticed that they look a little diffrent in the front.

A: there are many very nice grilles you can put ont the base 300.

For instance go to www.mopar.com you will see a very nice chrome mesh grille there.

Good luck and the 300 is a very nice car.

Q: chrysler 300?
My Second cousins once removed bought a Chrysler 300 & she swears up & down that it has OnStar in it!

I told her she’s insane because only GM models have OnStar & Chrysler’s not made by GM but she proceeds to say it has OnStar!

Please tell me, am I wrong? Is there a Chrysler 300 with OnStar in it or am I right about her being mistaken?

A: nope…gm only has onstar…she may be talking about some other feature and has it mistaken, called “sync”

Q: Chrysler 300?
My bf just bought the 2007 Chrysler 300 Touring. Does anyone know the differences between the regular 300 and the 300 Touring?
so the Touring is better then?

A: Well the Touring has a 3.5 Liter V6 that comes with Sirius Satellite radio, and leather trimmed seats, also comes with traction Control switch and brake assist.

The LX (Base Model) has a 2.7 Liter DOHC V6 which comes with basic stuff, cloth seats, just am/fm, 1 power seat.

The main difference is the engine and the leather seats.

Overall the touring is better.

Q: i have a chrysler 300 and lookign for good quality tires that fits the cars manufacturers driving conditions?
i have a 2006 chrysler 300 touring, and im thinking about michelin tires or goodyear tires. i dont know which one to get. because different tires has their unique performance. please help me pick a tire for my chrysler 300 touring.

A: Hello, I am a service manager for a Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership, you can get great tires for less the money! We sell mostly Mastercraft Tires and they do great, you get the mileage you want and still pay a whole lot less than the major manufacturers. Take my advise, do some research!!

Q: 2006 Chrysler 300 won’t start and only makes a single click noise?
2006 Chrysler 300 won’t start and makes a single click sound when attempting to start. The stereo works, so the battery isn’t dead. Any options or suggestions?

A: The battery may still be dead.
It takes a lot more amps to turn the starter than to run the radio.
It is possible that the radio works, but there is not enough juice left to start the car.
That clicking noise tells me that the battery is indeed dead or the starter is gone.

Q: Rear bumber of Chrysler 300 full of scratches and paint streaks?
I was in a dark underground parking garage and on accident I backed my black Chrysler 300 into a one of the white pillars. I didn’t see any dents; however, it did leave sratches and streaks of white paint on my rear bumper. The problem area is around 8 to 10 inches around. Is it pretty expensive to get rid of it. Should I go to my Chrysler dealer or a bodyshop?

A: go to a good well known bodyshop asks some friends you know of a bodyshop. Don’t go to a dealer they may do it right but they charge to much.

Q: How much does it cost the manufacturer to build a Chrysler 300 M?
I am wondering what the actual cost is to build the Chrysler 300 M before it is shipped to a dealer. How much does it cost Chrysler?

A: 1st – the 300M is no longer in production, it was superceded by the 300 and 300C. The 300M was a front wheel drive sports-luxury sedan which shared many components with the Dodge Intrepid, and Chrysler Concorde.

When you ask cost to manufacturer, what costs do you want included:
* parts costs
* labor costs
* engineering and product design
* certification costs (EPA, NHTSA, etc)
* manufacturing engineering costs
* tooling costs
* plant and corporate overhead
* advertising
* warranty fund
* etc

And in what volume? If you buy 10,000 of something, it is alot cheaper per unit than if you buy 1 or 10. For example, the products my company sells, to make one it costs about $3000-; to make 10000 per year, it costs under $50- each, plus about $75,000 in tooling. This does not include overhead, design, shipping, etc. We are a small company, with rather low volumes.

Q: What year Chrysler 300 has the best, most reliable engine?
I have a small savings and want to buy a used Chrysler 300 i’ve been looking at 05-07’s the limited touring addition. Looking for one that will not nickel and dime me to pieces.

A: me personally i would go with a 300C for a couple of reasons. 1. higher resale value. 2. You should get the same or better gas mileage than the V-6 engines due to the fact that hemi engine has MDS technology which once you stay at a constant speed it will shut down from a V-8 to a 4 cylinder. Its works pretty good i have a dodge durango with the hemi and mine is AWD all time and i still see 20mpg on the highway. The thing the engines reliablity wont change with year to year due to the fact that they use the same engines in the 300’s its either the 2.7 liter V-6, 3,5 high output V6 or the 5.7 liter Hemi V-8. If you do get a V-6 get the high output 3.5. I just borrowed my mother in laws charger with that to drive from michigan to florida and that engine had some good get up and go to it.

Q: How much would it cost to paint a Chrysler 300?
I may be purchasing a Chrysler 300, and I was wondering about how much it would cost to get a professional paint job. It’s white, and I was thinking maybe light blue?
It’s a 2002 model by the way.
There is no rust or scratches, but there is a dent on the hood. It is near the front of the car and is approximatly fist-sized. I would like a custom color, but if it’s cheaper to go with stock colors I will do that.

A: Uhm..well, it depends on the KIND of paint job you want.

Nice, complete, professional paint job, including door jams, under the hood, inside the trunk, etc…anywhere from $2000 to $5000, depending on the color…

Basic, blow-over paint job, omitting all the fine points…you could go from $500 up, depending on color choice.

If you’re looking to have the dent hidden, I would have body work done, and then just have them repaint that little spot. It’ll save you a ton of time and money.

Also, here’s a word of advice, though: A repainted car is not going to resale nearly as quickly as a stock car. People tend to shy away from custom colors. That is, unless you plan on keeping the car forever.

Q: How do I find out if a 2008 Chrysler 300 touring has all-wheel drive?
I am going to purchase a Chrysler 300 trouring and am wondering how you can tell if it has all wheel drive. Is it standard on the touring?

A: Look for the badge “AWD” on the rear of the car, Take the vin number to any chrysler dealer and ask for an option list it will have all the specs on the vehicle. If you have enough ground clearance look for axle shafts to the front wheels.

Q: What is the rate of speed in a chrysler 300 that an airbag deploys at from the steering wheel?
What is the rate of speed in a chrysler 300 that an airbag deploys at from the steering wheel?

A: That all depends on what year and what system is being used. There is no speed rating, but rate of volume of gas or rate of burn of gas to inflate the bag. Old style was just insant inflate, now the new models inflate or burn in stages depending on weight in seat. So in short there is no speed rate. But to make it simple it will come out faster than you can move out of the way

Q: Why do I see so many black people driving around in the Chrysler 300 vehicle?
I am not sure if its my imagination or not but whenever you look at the driver of a chrysler 300 they are 99% of the time black folk. Are they giving out zero percent financing to black people only? If this is the case I do not think its fair because as a anglo I would like to purchase one of these cool vehicles.

A: They all take turns using the same car.

Q: What exactly the Chrysler 300 shares with Mercedes?
I’m looking at Chrysler 300 and I heard it shares some components with Mercedes-Benz, do you know exactly which components?
I’m looking for more technically-detailed answer please.

A: depending on what engine you get, the transmission could be mercedes, the complete front and rear suspensions are mercedes, the differentials, and alot of the electronics are mercedes. half of the parts on the car actually have mercedes part numbers along side the mopar part numbers.

Q: How much would it cost to lease a Chrysler 300?
Approximately how much would it be if I leased a Chrysler 300 ?

A: Chrysler won’t lease vehicles anymore.

Their depreciation is too high, which means that the whole basis on which leasing is based on (buying more vehicle for less money) is thrown completely out the window.
