Q: Can’t figure out how to use third-row seat in 2005 Cadillac SRX?
I just bought a 2005 Cadillac SRX yesterday, and can’t figure out how to use the power third-row seat. The manual states that there are two buttons behind the passenger second-row seat (behind the liftgate), but I just don’t see them and there is no diagram. I feel stupid, but I really want to figure it out! Can anyone give me a better description of where to look for these buttons?

A: Behind the second seat is not the tailgate, Push everything that looks like a button bend the front seat.

V6 engine. Are they all the same? Can I switch them around or do they have different leghts/plugs?

A: All double bank engines have 2 all single bank engines have 1. they should be the same part number.

They are called Lambda sensors in UK.

A: knowing which brand of gas the car like to use and what type it want to run best off of is something the drive has to find out… not every car or brand type of gas is the same.. and gas varies from state to state.. what you do is start with place you buy fuel from every week fill up with what ever you been or they top octane.. set the mileage and drive it out then try the next type and do the same.. remember which gets you the best miles…. then go to another place try another brand and do the same start with their highest octane set the mileage.. you wil find one brand andor type that gets you the best mileage for the buck…be it high octane or regular… only real way of knowing which is better… my nissan like shell high octane but mobil regular and gets the same mileage from both.. thats what you need to know what gets the best mileage… been driving 40 years been working on cars just about as long.. you know by checking types and brands and use what gets you the best mileage

Q: How do you turn off the interior lights in a Cadillac SRX (2004)?
My boyfriend has this car and whenever we go to the drive in we cannot for the life of us figure it out. It doesn’t help that he doesn’t have an owners manual. Any and all descriptions would be very much appreciated.

A: Lower the dimmer switch setting, it is set all the way on. This is the switch that controls how bright the lights on the dash are when you have your headlamps on. If you have it set all the way on it will make the interior lights come on. Lower the setting just a little bit and that will fix the problem.

Q: How do you program your seats in a Cadillac SRX?
I can’t figure out, for the life of me, how to program the dang seats to return to the settings I want when I start the car!! I’m pretty sure it has the option (it has the 1 and 2 for 2 different drivers). I’ve looked in the manual, etc., but I can’t figure the crap out!! Does anyone know?! THANKS!

A: Set everything where you want it, (mirrors, seats,) and hold down on the driver 1 button. Hold down untill it beeps twice (or three times) It should then save that setting.
If that does not work, I suggest you check with your dealer.

Q: Can you tell if a Cadillac SRX is really AWD from the VIN? I think dealer is posting incorrect info?
I really like the car but don’t want to drive 200 miles to get disappointed.

A: You can tell any mechanical stock feature like that from the vin.

Q: What kind of spark plugs for my 06′ Cadillac SRX V6 DOHC?
We have a stock alternator, and a optima red top battery. We want the best performance possible. Also I think we need to change the rear differential fluid, how much does that cost and does Lucas have a type that they sell? Thanks

A: Spark plug should be a A/C Delco Iridium which is the original equipment plug. They don’t make anything that will perform any better than this spark plug, there are a lot that will cause the vehicle to run worse so be careful. Your differential if I recall correctly uses a synthetic fluid and Lucas does not make a compatible fluid that mixes with synthetic, check to be sure

Q: I am looking at purchasing a 2004 cadillac srx. It is in great shape and has only 62000 miles.?
How is the maintnance on one of these. Does anyone have any thoughs on the quality of this vehicle?
